Gaining weight while losing sizes. Advice please.

I've gained some weight back recently. People keep saying I look like I've lost weight, when in all reality I've gained almost 15 pounds from my lowest point. I'm back up to the same weight I was when my little sister got married.
But you know what? My bridesmaid's dress is *way* too big. Well too big except for around my *kitten*.. where it fits the same lol. So ireputable proof that I have slimmed down and that at least some of the extra weight is because of the whole "muscle weighs more than fat (which I know is not an accurate but you know what I mean)" saying. But you know what? Still stuck on that damn number on the scale. Keep beating myself up over how much it has raised. I can't help it.
And no, I haven't been logging, which was stupid of me. I've been trying to maintain though portion control and exercise. Any advice on how to get over the number on the scale? Besides just buckling down, going back down to 1200 calories a day and hoping I can lose it again?

I honestly don't see a problem here.
You're smaller. You're taking up less space. Why do you care how much you weigh if you are healthy and are less massive (as in have less mass)?
If you had your "dream body" would it matter what the scale says?
You don't need help losing weight, you need help with how you're processing your information. Weight is just one way to measure success.0 -
Get your body fat measured!
I know it's tough to get over the number on the scale, but honestly, it really is a random number when you think about all of the different factors that come into play. Body fat percentage and the way your clothes fit are much better ways to gauge your progress. :happy:0
