No, not a trebuchet! An onager. You know... because the people that spell it that way are *kitten*.

I always picture them flinging adipose tissue going, "Fly!! Be free!!"

Usually related to anal grammar issues on forums, I think.

If you want to lose fat, then beware you might end up with loose skin.

(Sorry I couldn't resist. Thanks to the OP since this is one of my pet peeves.)

I really wish new people would make use of the search button BEFORE starting their 1st thread. Honey this subject has been done to death, just let it go already.

so i've said this before, as this thread topic has been done to death. a lot of people on this site are between the ages of 18 and 30. those kids were taught to read and write phonetically. so the double o (oo) was taught to sound like u. so when they want to spell lose, the sound of lose is a u sound, so they use the double o (oo).

if you dont think everyone should be perfect as your avatar says, then why pick on kids that were taught this way. its not a big deal. so they spell it wrong, why does that give you fret. let it go. there are much bigger issues in the world to get your panties in a bunch over.

I'm an English teacher. I often have to grit my teeth when I read some of the writing here. Mostly, I don't respond or correct people. They never take it well.
