I'm trying to plan a weekend getaway with my girlfriend and came across these shows from Gorilla Tango in Chicago.

They look amazing and funny to me, but I'm curious if I should be worried my girlfriend will not like it or be offended?

Opinions please.

I think they look sort of quirky and fun. It really depends on what she's into. If burlesque isn't her thing, probably not a good idea.

Your girlfriend should be the person you should be asking this, not random people online.
We don't know what she likes or doesn't like. Asking her would be best, honestly :)
If you don't want to tell her, ask her to name various places and see if you like any of the answers. If you don't, suggest things to her :)

    Good luck! :)

It would be awesome if my fiancé took me to watch something like that. I don't think she would be offended, you have taken the time to plan something for her. Not many guys do that sort of thing!

I think it looks like a lot of fun, I'd love to see it! Your girlfriends perception of this should mirror yours or you wouldn't be such a good match.

Take her and then have her make you a sammich.
And get you a beer. And it better be ice cold.

Looks cool to me. However the fact that you know her and are worried about her being offended suggests to me that you know it might not really be her kind of thing.

sounds like you are trying to surprise her...is there a sneaky way you can get her to check it out before hand?

Check you tube see if they have any recorded performances and say you had a buddy say you should watch it. Or be looking at the site and go hey babe this is the show so and so went to." Something like that.

Yes, she knows we're going to do something, just not what. I'm trying to think of something creative and different to do. I'll see if I can feel her out on this a little more before buying tickets.
