Im going to the toby carvery for a works xmas meal on Friday, but ive been looking up cals and it seems most carverys are 1000!! I haven't had the best week and really don't want to eat 1000 calories so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I should do?

Divide it in half and eat the rest tomorrow?

Take half home :) If it weren't a work thing, I'd also suggest seeing if the restaurant minds if you order a kid's meal, if there's one you like, of course. I do that at one restaurant here with a fish dish, and nobody minds a bit :)

Maybe plan to eat something sensible before you go?

This way you won't be starving when you get there and won't be tempted to eat everything on your plate.

Sent you a PM but log what you think you'll have before you go so you can get an idea of what you can have.
