Taking control of my own fitness - help!!!

Hi all...new to the site and looking for some advice. I worked out with a personal trainer for a year, then joined a bootcamp community for a year. I've decided I just can't afford the cost of these activities and have decided to get back in to the gym ALONE!! I have had someone to dictate my work out for me for the last two years...while I've achieved good results in terms or nutrition, weight and ok strength I've decided I need to get out on my own. I've realized while I know how to do all these lifts and exercises I have no idea how to really put them together.....I've read through the forums and as a result taken a look at turbo fire, the lifting for women recommendations and the starting strength site. The splits confuse me....still! I've seen some workouts posted here also but i'm not sure how to decipher them!

I feel like I should be able to jump into this and come up with these great work outs...but it isn't quite happening that way! Any advice is appreciated...I don't want to lose what I've gained but i'm really unsure of how to maintain momentum and continue to gain!!!!

To this day, I incorporate full body workouts that my trainer taught me ten years ago. At first, I had the visual of him diagraming the workouts on paper for me when we didn't meet (we met once a week), but now I've pretty much memorized them all.

I suggest you simply continue with what your trainer taught you. You can add in new things, take out old things, or change it all out any way you choose.

If you find motivating yourself to workout difficult, I suggest you find a workout partner.
