any parents with ASD children

i have 5 kids one is almost 4 and is ASD and nonverbal and SPD. would like to meet others with kids on the spectrum too.

    Hello!!

    I know there are a few special needs group on MFP, but none of them seem to be really active. I've joined some and posted on some, but nothing really going on.

    I am a mom of a special needs son (age 24) not ASD or SPD, but whole list of other things!! I founded a school in 2006 specifically for special needs children. When my son graduated I turned the school over to another (much younger with younger children) mother of special needs children. It's still going strong!!

    Hi there. I have a son who has ASD he's 'high functioning' though and although the issues are different they are still there.

    My current dilemma is trying to get him independant enough to succeed at University, he's 16 and without me behind him pushing he drifts and he does very little in the outside world by himself. In his room with his laptop and in the classroom are the only places he feels comfortable!

    I find it hard work with just 2 kids, how on earth do you cope with 5?
