Quick question about logging walking

Hello all! Quick question.

I have a manually set calorie goal at 1400kcals, and my TDEE calculated based on a sedentary life style is 1700ish (have forgotten the exact amount, but my calorie goal is set at TDEE-20% ish, give or take 15kcals).

Now as I calculated my goal based on a sedentary lifestyle I have been adding the 20 minute walk every morning and evening to and from work (and sometimes the 10 minute walk to the supermarket), on top of my proper gym workouts.
This gives me about an extra 150kcals a day (40 minutes walking at least daily).

I have been reading some forum posts where people seem to be discouraging logging 'normal' activities such as these, so now I am confused if I should keep logging this?

What does everyone think?

Also, I have been losing at an average of about 0.3kg a week (some weeks it is higher some weeks I gain about 0.2kg. Been logging consistently for over 65 days, even on bad days. :P).

I think I'd just leave those as part of your daily routine and not add extra calories for them, I never log stuff like that, just when I make a special effort to go for a walk and I put some energy into it :)

Also I wouldn't worry if you aren't losing as fast as MFP predicts, a lot of people don't. Just lose in a way which is comfortable to you.

Thank you! Yes, I will not log walking to and from work anymore (will still log walking to the gym as it is a 35minute walk one way and I am usually rushing after work to make it in time for my class so it is quite a good workout. :P)

I am quite comfortable at the rate at which I am currently losing, especially as I have less than 20lbs to go in just over 6-7 months (for my wedding next year), but it seems to have slowed down a little bit recently. :(

Not logging my walking might motivate me to do more proper exercise to make up for the extra 150kcals. I will take it as a positive. :)
