For 13 years I traveled the country with a band. This was from 1994 - 2007. I weighted approximately 225lbs (@5' 10"). I was fat enough to make plane trips uncomfortable, long and generally awful. I unbuckled my 42" waist pants (too tight), slipped off my shoes - extra poundage walking though airports. I needed both of those airline seat arm rests for myself. I was just too big to tuck them in my sides for a 3 - 4 hour flight. And since I ate like a collage kid, jet lag was intense, sleeping was difficult and energy was in short supply for the shows. You get the idea.
You can look at my bio is you want the details for my health transformation.
I just came back from a trip from NYC to California to visit with friends. This was my first coast to coast plane trip as a fit person and boy, what a difference it makes. Those tiny narrow sets now are actually comfortable whether or not a large or plump person is using the arm rests. The pants stay buttoned, shoes remained tied, sleep only requires a little meditation and a head-bow but the biggest surprise, no jet-lag one in Cal or (more importantly) once back home. The whole affair was almost pleasant and hassle free.
Moreover, little things like colds, bruises, the little things that make life suck just a little, take much less time to heal, hurt less, etc.
After so many years of abuse from cigarettes, fat bombs and Inertia my 59 year old body has generously given me a reprieve. I'm so grateful. Thank you, body.
Those of you who are on the journey have wonderful things to look forward too.
Good luck to you all and enjoy your good health.
