Normal to have slower weightloss weeks?

Hi all, I've noticed that this week I've barely lost any weight, despite still eating within my calories and working out as usual. Foodstuffs have been no different than usual.
Is it normal to have a slow week every now and then? I've noticed this happen once or twice before in the last two-three months that I've been properly watching what I eat and exercising.

I'd appreciate any input or info to keep my spirits up :)

I can only speak for my own body, but I think my hormones/menstrual cycle are tied to it pretty strongly. EVERY month since starting MFP back in March, I have seen the same pattern. I am set to lose 1.5 lb per week and averaged out I've lost almost exactly that much (1.56 lb per week). But for me it's approx. 1 lb per week of loss, and then 3-5 lb the week preceding my menstrual period, and then I lose no weight at all while on my actual period and then back to 1 lb per week.

very normal. I have weeks wher ei lose nothing, or where it registers as a gain one week and a loss the next week etc etc.

I think of it as a cyclic process with ever dropping low points rather than one marked moving down one measurement. It always comes back down to another loss.

yep. last period i put on 5 kg and then 2 weeks later dropped 6 over 3 days. This time round, i've lost half a kg. You can't predict it.

Never considered my cycle - I have just finished my period that that might account for the slower weight loss. I guess I should watch how it is next month.

But I'm glad to hear that weight loss isn't consistent, even if I am with my nutrition and exercise.

Thank you for all the answers so far, by the way :)

The closer I've gotten to goal, the slower my weight loss and the longer my plateaus (the longest has been 48 days so far). This is normal and a good thing, because the body is settling into the new weight. That means less chance of regaining.

The graph shows only those times when my weight has dropped and does not show the day-to-day fluctuations. The slope of my weight loss gets shallower over time, meaning a slower loss. I've dropped another 7.5 pounds since I generated the graph.

I'm old enough that the hormones are not in play (much), but I still have fluctuations. Like Ejourneys, I believe the body settles into a new weight. I tend to drop suddenly, then bounce around that number for a while before dropping again.
