Motivation Changes

In the last 5 years that I have battled with my weight, I've had the wrong motivation. I can realize this now. I did this for other people. Mainly my husband. All the excuses that women use I had. "maybe he'll pay more attention to me, give me more compliments, more affection." Any normal problem we had in our marriage I thought could be fixed with me losing some weight.

Needless to say, every battle failed.
While this time may have started with one motivating factor (trying for baby), it has grown into a different, stronger one. This time it is about Me. I want this for myself. I want this so when I look back at my 20s I don't see the best years of my life wasted as a blob on the sidelines. I want to be the figure that stands out and is motivating to others. I want to look in the mirror and think 'wow, I look good today.' I want to bring energy to a room instead of shyness and humiliation. I want to be a rolemodel to my friends and family. But most of all... I want to be able to one day say to myself "I DID IT!"

What are your motivations?

ps- add me to your friends! I love making new ones!

    Ha! love your attitude

My motivation is I don't like to be beaten by my own bod which thinks it can put a spare tyre where my waist should be just cos I'm not a teenager any more ... lol
It is HARD .. but like anything hard that you succeed at in the end, you will have grown as a person from the experience and be rightfully proud to have fought and won thru. Yaay for us! :drinker:
