I've always felt like I was struggling to either control or decrease my weight since I was fourteen or so -around the same age most girls start becoming aware of their body image. However , about the second week of Augest I started to try calorie counting. The idea at first worked for me , that is learning to control portions and make better choices. Yet I could only go for a few days without feeling like I was messing up. 'Messing up' could mean exercising and having no idea how many calories I burned , or feeling like I had to eat take out when my mother wanted it for supper( I'm 21 and live at home) , to a variety of other things. Once I felt discouraged or frustrated it could take days weeks for me to start trying again. I was , and I'm sure still can be , my own worst enemy.

Anyways , I started with myfitnesspal this week and I love it much more than my old calorie counter, and I'm not really sure why but I just feel ready for the change , you know?

If anyone's interested I'm 21 5'4 , started in mid Aug. around 142.5 , as of 2 or 3 days ago I'm 131.5. Goal for now is 125 but may change as my muscle builds:)

Im still new to all this so any one else out there with kind advice or in a boat similar to mine, feel free add me:) Good luck on all of your journeys !
