Anyone doing paleo/ low carb??

I'm new to mfp and am taking a flexible approach to paleo. I try to stick to it whenever I can but don't get too upset by having an off day if we're going out. I have two young kids and since having them have found to difficult to lose weight. If really appreciate dim support and friends!

    I do LOWER carb. I don't freak out about going out for Mexican once in awhile (my favorite), etc. It's all about choices for me now. I don't call it a diet.

    Im following a paleo plan, just started last week as well. I am not looking to lose much weight though, more of a maintanence choice. So far keeping my fat/protein ratios correct have been the biggest issue.

    I eat low carb, max 25 grams, and my macronutrients set around 10% carbs, 20% protein and 70% fat. I was doing MFP for quite a while (before my current strategy) and was really disappointed. But, then I learned a new way of eating during a business trip to Scandanavia which they call LCHF which is like a miracle how well it works. It's based on REAL food, no gimmicks, no bizarre foods (powders, bars, etc), no pills. It's like the "Scandanavian" paleo version. Not only did I lose weight, but my skin cleared, sleep better, asthma went away.

    Good luck on your journey. For me it made a huge difference.

    Low carb, but keto rather than paleo.
