IS IT OKAY GO RUNNING FOR 10 DAYS CONSECUTIVELY?

Hi so I usually run 6 days a week with strength training twice a week and one rest day, which is typically Monday. However, I have plans on Saturday next week so I'm unable to work out, so I was planning to set my rest day on Saturday instead.

With that being said, this would mean that I will be running every day from this past Tuesday till Friday next week.

I was just wondering if it's bad for the body? I always run 3km each time and walk 2 km so its a total of 5km 6 days a week. In rest days I either go for a short 30 minute walk (about 2.6km) or I just rest completely.

Depends on your fitness levels and how long you have been running.

Like any workout, running puts stress onto your joints, muscles, cns, and the body needs time to recover from it.

Go by feel and don't try and be a hero.

You already run 6x a week and you only go 3km you could easily run 10 days without issue. Likely even far more than that

Not really the best idea in the world. Even professional runners take rest days. Running is extremely high impact and hard on the body. Even my friends who do marathon running, etc only train 4-5 days per week and do so at varying distances with really only one long run per week.

Personally, I'd cross train with something that is less impact a couple of days per week...and better yet I'd take a full rest day every week. Unfortunately, rest is something people, including myself, often have to learn the hard way...let me tell you how much this past 12 weeks has sucked nursing an over-use injury...taking a day off now and then is way better than having to take 3 months off.

Edit: I just noted that you typically go 3K...that's not much and your body can handle that just fine. It's more about the overall mileage you're putting on.

My current running streak is at 53 days and I only took a day off bc of a slight injury, usually go for at least 7 miles. If you start to feel injured just take an off day, but nothing wrong with it. Like the previous poster said depends on your fitness level.
