Have I finally found something that might work for good and help me achieve my weightloss goals? I heard about this site on MSNBC when I saw the amazing results of one of the site's users. I've tried many websites in the past but generally found them too time consuming to log my calories and excerise every day. And I wasn't ever really pleased with the layouts of those sites. But I am on day 3 here and have found this to be easy. Since I've begun tracking my calories three days ago, I've lost 4 pounds. Having struggled with loosing my post-college weight for the last 4 years, I am excited to have found something that, so far, has kept me motivated. Yesterday, while grocery shopping, I found myself looking at food labels and comparing the calorie, carb and protein content in various foods and making educated choices about what I would bring home to feed myself and my family. My 3- and 5-year old were with me and weren't always pleased with the choices I made, but we compromised and found healthy snacks that we could agree on. I was very happy when they picked apples and strawberries over fruit snacks, because, as my 5-year old told me, apples are much bigger. :-)

I am excited to start this journey with everyone that has had success using this site and look forward to reading all your tips for getting through the bad days and the plateaus.

    Welcome, this is a great site and many of the people here are having success for the first time in getting it off and keeping it off. Good for you in teaching your children at a young age the importance of good food choices.

    Welcome - I joined this site way back in January and have been using it pretty faithfully since - I love it!!! This site is great for tracking calories and making better choices - especially for us busy moms ( I have a 5 year old and a 1 1/2 year old ) Good Luck to you in your journey - add friends to help keep you accountable along the way - add me if you like :)

    I love your 5-year-olds take on the fruit verses the fruit snacks! By weight, real fruit is also less expensive than a few small bags of sugary fruit snacks! What a great example for your kids!!
