Why am I gaining weight instead of losing it?

Hey Everyone,
According to my nutritionist, I burn about 2,200 calories a day through normal activity.
I am on a 1,400 calorie/day diet.
Last week I went over some days and was under some days.
If I consider 7 days, I burn about 15,400 calories (2,220 x 7) and I ate 11,851. That is a 3,549 calorie deficit.
According to my calculations I should have lost a pound but instead I gained 1.8 lbs.
What happened???
This is so frustrating.

How are you measuring what you eat? Weighing everything? If not, then you could be underestimating your intake. It could also be water weit, if you ate particularly salty food over the weekend, could be related to your time of the month, could be a blip(I fluctuate up to a couple of pounds daily). It may not all be actual weight gain.

Weightless is not linear and the average body fluctuates in weight 2-5 lbs in a single day. That means you won't necessarily lose weight every single week and your 1.8lb gain is probably not a real fat gain. Stick with it for a month. If you're still not seeing results, then you can reevaluate.

how long have you been on current program?

    Do you weigh/measure food?

your diary is closed so impossible to see what you are consuming on daily basis...

what is your work out /exercise regimen?
