lose 40 pounds in 3-4 months !?

Hey yall im new on here literally just signed up minutes ago :)
& ive been reading some success stories to try and tey to get motivation to start my weight loss .

** details about me ** weight about 190lbs , height is 5'2, clothing size 16/17 & xlarge,**
So heres the thing in the past 2 years ive gained a total of 40 to 50 pounds most of it i admit was from oure laziness , some depression but mostly not getting up and doing something. This year i gained an extra 10 pounds from a pregnancy i ended up losing. After i did manage to lose about 4 pounds but thats it. Normally i believe i lose weight not fast but pretty quick and tend to gain it back .

Is it possible to lose 40 to 50 pounds in 3 or 4 months ? Ive seen people in my life do it so why cant i ? I just sont know how to go about a meal plan and exercise routine schedule. I am a picky eater i stick to the basics pretty much . Can some one pleeeease helpme i want to get back to my old self and i just dont know how :( ive been trying for a while but i end up just having no motivation and give up.

Can someone pleease help me make some sort of plan for me !

I think it's definitely possible. I'm 5'3 i started at 162 and was able to lose 40 pounds in under 5 months. since youre starting off heavier than me, i think it'll take less time for you! good luck :)

Is it possible? Absolutely. Is it a good idea? No. The basic guideline is that if you lose more than 1% of your body weight per week, a significant amount of that is going to be muscle.

Best of luck! Its often said a healthy weight loss is no more than about 2 pounds a week.
4 months, approx 16 weeks @ 2 pounds lost per week would be 32 pounds.

You may find that MyFitnessPal (MFP) wont allow you to set more than that amount of loss approach in its goal calculator, no doubt due to some of the damage that can occur if making too dramatic a change. When folks get started depending on their starting point, some fast loss can occur in the beginning.

There are so many plans and workout routines, however for the quick time that you are working and perhaps wanting a readied routine - Id recommend checking out the "Insanity" workout from BeachBody. Its cardio, home based workouts without the need of a lot of gear. Its a full readied planned workout schedule of 60 days that is approachable, seemingly highly effective and fun if you can get a workout buddy.

All she has is about 43lbs to lose (per her ticker). It's really not recommended because she's going to be losing a lot of muscle along with that fat.

OP, please consider 0.5lb-1lb/week loss and here are a few links to help you out.
