you know what I'm talking about? Those days when you dont wanna do anything? Not the dishes, not cook not workout, NOTHING??? What do you do to get over that or do you just ride it out?

Nike - Just Do It!
Life is full of things that we don't want to do.
That's how most of us got fat in the first place.
We didn't want to, so we didn't.

Just getting up and starting to do something can help get you back into the groove, that said there is nothing wrong with taking a day off every now and then!0

I drag myself to the Dread Tread:grumble: (that's my treadmill) and remind myself every minute of the 30 minutes I walk that I can make it to 30 minutes. Its easier to watch TV while I exercise so I don't look so often. You can do it. Also if you just stand up with your arms over your head and stretch for a minute or two it wakes you up a bit. You can do it. Just say I can do this. Its my choice. Nobody can make that choice but me. Get going.0

Been there and even had to drag myself out of the bed. Did not want to even get up. But, you just get up and start and before you know it you start to feel better. That is one of the main reasons I do my workout first thing in the mornings so that I feel better all day. It helps in many ares. God Bless, Brenda0

I take some rest days... But on other days the fear that this might continue if I don't do it today makes me push myself. Also after few min of it I feel like exercising0

So true!!! I've been in a slump for 2 weeks where I didn't want to do anything but I'm back on track and even though it's the end of the week, am aiming to stay within my calories and work out harder. I already feel better after doing this for 2 days.0 -
Another web site I am on says "you can do anything for 15 minutes." So, I decide on the first thing that NEEDS to be done and then literally set a timer for 15 minutes and don't let ANYTHING distract me for that 15 minutes. Then, if I need it, I allow myself to sit and do nothing (or something fun) for 15 minutes. And the cycle repeats.
I find I get more done this way than when I try to spend a long time doing something.0 -
Not wanting to do anything every once in a while is healthy. A day of rest is satisfying, that is if it's full of enjoyable activities that don't involve being too physically or mentally active. But making it a habit is unhealthy. I myself have just gotten out of the groove of doing nothing with my days. I believe this is called depression. And from my experience, depression, although it is very hard to overcome, is not impossible. Like you've heard before, and it doesn't sound any cheesier when I say it... JUST DO IT. You WILL feel better. I'm not trying to give a pep talk, trust me, but I am experienced from both sides. And it is EASY to fall into the habit of doing nothing, and it does tend to lead to depression. Stay active, award yourself days of laziness.0

The odd duvet day is not gonna hurt But if you're just feeling a bit lethargic, best thing is to set yourself one small thing to do rather than a long list of things. Take your time, then when you finished see if you want to do a few more little things. It won't be a full-on-get-stuff-done kinda day but then it won't be a complete wash-out either.0

If it's a planned thing, a day off is good. But if it's a lazy thing, I'd try to fight it.
I have a severe case of inertia. I know that a body at rest tends to stay at rest. But if a body in motion tends to stay in motion, then all I have to do is get moving!0
