Hello everyone, I have a general question about muscle milk or any protein powders. but first let me say alittle about myself. I am 5'10" and I weigh 233 lbs , and I used one of those online body fat calculators and my body fat percentage is 33.4. I want to cut down to the most 191 to join the marine corps. I want to be at 170 will using powders to gain muscle help lose weight since more muscle = more calories burned at rest on top of my diet of 1500 calories

No. You're not eating enough to gain substantial muscle. Dependent upon your workout regimine you might put on some noob gains, but your caloric deficit is so large you'll be sacrificing mass. If you want to lose weight, you're in a cut. Take in the protein (muscle milk) and lift heavy to MAINTAIN your muscle mass while you lose fat.
Gaining muscle doesn't come from powders, it comes from fueling your body properly, getting the right nutrients (which a protein powder helps meet your protein macro), and intense strength training.0
