Confusion with logging. What confuses you?

I log a tablespoon of olive oil when I pour that much into a pan to cook some chicken. But I don't know how much is actually consumed--I know some is absorbed by the chicken, some evaporates, and some gets left in the pan altogether!
When I eat a grapefruit, I never know whether I ought to weigh it with or without its skin.
Chicken weighs a lot less after cooking it than before, and I often don't know whether to log its pre- or post-cooking weight.
What are some logging confusions you have?
