weight lifting for runners - any groups?

is there any groups (or something) for runners who lift weights just to get stronger legs, core (etc - nobody wants weak arms + shoulders either) so they can run better? mainly running oriented but realize the need to lift as a secondary thing, but not to gain alot of weight that would slow them down? or should i create a group "runners who lift weights" ?
is this maybe cross fit or cross training or something?

    I do both. Although my running at the moment is a little sparse. But that will be changing quickly as I ramp up for a half in May.
