I'm confused, if working out boost your metabolism and cutting back calories slows down your metabolism. What will happen if I workout while eating at a deficit?

You will lose weight...
I know what you mean but it's not that simple. They won't cancel each other out. How much working out will boost it and how much it will be slowed by diet depends from many factors. Like how intense are your exercise, how often, how high deficit you are, etc. Generally, being in deficit slows your metabolism VEEEEERY slowly over long period of time, assuming that you are in healthy deficit.0 -
So would you say maintaining a 1200 calorie diet with exercise and not eating your calories back, a deficit?0
