I used to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE watching Food Network. I called it "Food porn". Now I find I really can't watch it because most of the shows aren't calorie conscious. Anyone else have this problem?

Nope - I watch them specifically because they are NOT calorie conscious
its also good to figure out ways to make the recipes without using all the fat, there are loads of swaps we can do - and still have delicious food...watched Nigellas christmas the other day - noooom noooom. And anything barefoot contessa just makes me laugh, I don't think she ever gets through an episode without using a pound of butter and a litre of cream
Watch and enjoy I say0 -
I get so bored with food/cooking shows on TV. I am not a big TV person to begin with, but when I watch stuff like that I actually get stressed out because I feel like it is some sort of personal challenge and I need to get up and cook that exact dish immediately. lol
My "food porn" is Pinterest. I'll be scrolling along looking at Art and humor and fashion pins and then someone's gotta post this beautiful image of lavender Earl Grey ice cream or homemade mac n' cheese on a beautifully laid table with a big frosty mug of strawberry lemon something or other....gaahhh0 -
I love the Food Network. I usually watch it while working out of the Elliptical... Ironic, i Know....0

My husband watches those shows. What annoys me is when they claim something only takes a short time to make, then they pull out a tray with 27 pre-prepped ingredients. Sure, it only takes a few minutes when you have a whole staff of prep cooks. And of course they never have to wash a dish.0
