I broken my ankle 12 weeks ago and altho it should be healed according to my doctors I am only just at about 80% my previous ability.
I found It hard to do exercises with the ankle which crosses out a lot of exercises. im a female overweight, 28 have had on off diets and was a strong walker before, now I can not complete a day at work without my ankle swelling. any suggestions

Get your diet in check. Google "seated workouts" and "chair workouts". Give it time, let your ankle heal completely and don't push it.0

I have broken my ankle severely (pins surgery etc.). It does take quite awhile for the swelling and pain to lessen.
I used a sock brace for about 3 month's.
As far as exercise the best I found was to hit the swimming pool for many many laps.
Hope it helps.0 -
See if your Dr will prescribe you some sessions with a physical therapist. They will assess your strength and range of motion and show you the proper exercises to restore full function. PT is covered on most insurance plans0
