How do you find your motivation, please tell me

I took some time off of exercising due to an ankle injury then I got sick now I am on medication for jaw pain that makes me so dizzy I can barely walk (really it is like I am drunk). Anyway with all of this I feel so discouraged and just want to say screw it and not bother with exercise once I am able (after these meds are gone). Maybe I am feeling sorry for myself I dunno but I feel like quitting. Being off just has made me feel so far away. What you all do to keep going and want to exercise would help me.

there's a time and place for everything. ankle injury and being dizzy is a good sign to take a break. being motivated is one thing but doing so at the detriment of your health and healing is just stupid imo

I agree with mesha... sometimes exercise and fitness cannot be a priority. This is one of those times I'd say. Just rest. Eat healthfully. Read. Dream. Heal.

Then, when you're ready, you can get out there and kill it!

Work on eating well. Exercise is not a necessity right now. Focus on getting better, do some yoga. Hang in there!

The best thing you can do is focus on the present. Don't worry about what you're going to do when you get off your meds. Worry about taking care of yourself right now. Feelings change, you may feel completely differently by the time you're off your meds, so don't make decisions about later based on how you feel today. Just take of yourself right now and let later worry about itself.

I keep my hand weights handy so that I can lift at least a little, when ever I get a few moments of motivation. Don't beat yourself up, there is nothing wrong with taking a break when you aren't feeling well.
