I keep hearing amazing things about lifting and the results people have gotten from it. I'm really looking to get into it but I can't seem to find any affordable gyms to join. Do guys have any suggestions?

I go to Retro Fitness.... I love this gym.. it is only $20 a month and it has everything you need for lifting. They have a few locations throughout the metro area.0

I say try all! Go to the website and get 3-4- and sometimes 7 day passes lol see which ones you like, if you let them know youre testing out a few gyms they'll be more inclined to cut you a deal on the enrollment fee...but $10-20 is pretty standard for all gyms0

You can try getting a membership at one of the public gyms owned by the NYC Parks department, it's like $60 for half a year or something like that. I used to go to one when I was younger. They're not glamorous but they get the job done.0

i dont live in NYC anymore but when i did i was a member of NYSC for awhile. it was on the pricey side but i loved that they had locations all over and pretty decent hours so i could work out near work and home.
this isn't true for every location, but the main ones i went to had squat cages.
i'd say try out the gym first before joining because you want to make sure they have squat cages, benches, oly bars and weight plates0 -
