Sorry no pictures this time (if you're anything like me, I mostly come for the pictures because they motivate me lol). Yesterday I had
1) a work Christmas party at a steak house
2) a church Christmas party with a potluck and
3) an evening with friends playing games. Holy Guacamole!
I knew this day was coming and planned ahead!!!
1) I looked at the restaurant's menu online and emailed them for updated information on their nutritional guide. I planned to take home some leftovers but ended up eating everything on my plate. I had exercised in anticipation earlier in the day and had eaten very low calorie so far to compensate for the whole meal. Truffle butter steak, parmesan broccoli, loaded potato soup, and molasses bread never tasted so good!
2) I snacked extremely light (I just had dinner! But the fat girl in me said "Free food! Yummy food! You're full, but you're not stuffed, you've forgotten how to eat how you're stuffed on a daily basis." I kicked her to the curb). At this point, I ended up being about 200 calories over my daily goal from the treats I had there (which I plan to compensate for today).
3) Went to a friend's house to play games and she sent her husband out to get some satsumas. yes, they're fruit, but I was over on my calories so I took a couple home to eat today![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
And the scale rewarded me for my good choices this week with another 2.5lbs down, in the midst of holiday party time!!! I didn't feel deprived. Enjoying the food while enjoying continued weight loss success is the best of both worlds!

I am a huge proponent of "reward days" so I don't feel deprived. This is a great example of how a little planning can give you control of decisions on a reward day and those before and after. Congrats on the holiday loss!0

Well, here is my day.. I had breakfast and lunch ,so I left 550 calories for dinner.. HOWEVER: we just got a call for a birthday party AND boat parade later this evening! Both filled with burgers (already had them today) and also sweets, sweets And some more desserts..so God ,please help me to make wise choices!0

100tolose-get some working out done
And 1 thing I've utilized this week-carrying over calories. It's not like my body has a definition of what a "day" is. The other day I couldn't keep myself off of some snacks at a get-together and the M&Ms had the best of me. I "made" a new food entry on my diary that is calories I'm carrying over from previous over-eats/under-burns and log that the next day. If I didn't have time to exercise the day of my over-eating, then I can throughout the next day (or any day until my next weigh in) or make wiser food choices to compensate for what I already ate.
