lost 10lbs but waist is larger.

so i wasnt sure if my new bodymedia was working correctly this week it seemed to read high but apparently it was accurate and i was losing allot more than i thought... started working out a week ago today weighed myself then and was at 280.3 . just now im at 267.4. I cant recall what type of clothes i had on at original weight so i know there is a few pound margin or error, but i also took my dimensions of my stomach, chest, and right bicep last week..... just took them again and they are all about an inch larger??? the bicep i could see because i have done a few days of weight lifting.. but losing 10 pounds and gaining in the stomach and chest??? i do feel like maybe my love handles have shrunk or my gut is protruding more one of the two. any explainations???? no matter what im going to continue on this path because i do feel healthier already and i know that is more important than a number, but it doesnt help the motivation factor.

    Besides mismeasuring, you might have some muscle inflammation since you just started to work out.
