We don't have things like this happen very often here. Sure we get sleet and light snow each year, but having everything be completely coated in ice is pretty rare. I think it's particularly interesting for an area like this because we still have colors in the trees and flowers in bloom, which makes for an interesting contradiction.
Anyway, not much special with these photos. I just decided to brave the cold and explore a bit, but I wanted to share :]
If you want to see the higher rez pics (which is pretty cool for some of the macro shots) you can look at my flickr set over here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34215099@N06/sets/72157638464102625/
Otherwise here are the sized down versions:

I live in Austin(just three hours South of Dallas) and even though we didn't have an ice storm we got some freezing rain, but it pretty much melted as soon as it touched ground...Thanks for sharing these...It's been awhile since we've had anything like this in Austin....

Cool pics!! I wish you guys would have gotten this storm on a different weekend... One of my MFP friends was supposed to run a half marathon today in the Dallas marathon and it was cancelled. She was so bummed, and I totally would be too
ETA: I would totally hang some of those pics up in my house. You are so talented!!0 -
Absolutely Stunning! Great angles and images...you are REALLY talented!:flowerforyou:0

You are talented beyond words!!! Not only with food, you see the beauty in so many things... so impressive!!!
I am from way up north in Canada. I thought that Texas did not get snow - is this a rarity?0 -
Breathtaking. You should do this professionally or at least for extra income0
