Just some quick ways to excite your daily shakes :D
So a month has passed in my training.... Everything is going well and I am still feeling revved up and excited to compete... Diet is causing some frustration and slip ups tend to happen here and there, but I feel confident that when it comes time to cut I'll be well prepared for the ordeal.
in order to keep my days somewhat exciting while still sticking with certain foods I have found ways to spice up my three times a day protein shakes... And since have bin my favorite times of the day food wise.
breakfast I like it warm... Since I'm tromping throug the snow in -30 degree weather to do my cardio.... So I like to fill my shaker with cooked oats, protein, blueberries, cranberries, cinnamon and chopped almonds.... (Word of caution.... Be sure you can stick your finger in the oats.... If it's to hot the protein goes pretty nasty)
if your not a big breakfast person and love your coffee my other favorite is chocolate protein powder mixed in a cup of coffee... I think it's kinda like a mocha???
A fellow mfp friend told me about some protein pancakes that included protein powder and egg whites. So upon making them I decided to add oatmeal almonds cinnamon to them and holy man was that a creation!!!! Filling and guilt free.
So my next endeavor was desert.... Nothing worse the. Watching your family eat ice cream and Popsicles in front of your while your stuck choking down your last shake of the day... Ugh!!!!
So protein popsicals and ice cream was created... Super simple super delicious and yet again guilt free.
popsiclas I could never fit a whole serving of powder into one pop so I'd always get to eat two before bed but I didn't mind that at all.
and the ice cream well I'm still playing with that one...
chocolate or vanilla works... Half the water the. You would normally use In a shake freeze then mash and stir till its smooth enjoy. Don't be afraid to dress it up with berries and nuts... Cinnamon works well in it too.
last night for an adventure I did vanilla protein and orange flavor Metamucil, it was like an orange flavor creamsicle. I'll definitely be making that again.
every one of these includes one serving of protein....
hope you enjoy and don't be afraid to spice things up the possibilities are endless
