Water weight questions- advice needed

Feeling a little discouraged today. I had some tortilla soup and chips yesterday (when I have been eating a very low sodium diet), I anticipated some water weight gain, and sure enough, I was up by a pound this morning. But what surprised me is I woke up feeling especially skinny. And when I feel like that I am usually down by about a pound.
a)How long will it take me to flush the sodium out?
b) Is it possible to really be down, but just be carrying more than a pound of extra water around with me?
c) anything extra I can do to get rid of the water weight quicker than just drinking water to get rid of it?

I tend to sweat it out, but as women don't sweat they either perspire or glow, you could try a good workout and Glow buckets! lol0

Just drink a lot of water and go get your sweat on and stop worrying about stupid water weightb) Is it possible to really be down, but just be carrying more than a pound of extra water around with me?
Yes, it is common for natural weight fluctuations due to water and/or waist to mask fat loss. Your weight loss is not linear, it's a general trend over time. Again...stop worrying about stupid water...if you can't get your mind around this, you're going to have an incredibly difficult time in maintenance where you will have a range of weight, not an exact weight...this would be due to water and waste fluctuations.c) anything extra I can do to get rid of the water weight quicker than just drinking water to get rid of it?
drink a lot of water and sweat...and stop sweating about stupid water weight...it's water, not fat.0 -
I'm new here and honestly know nothing about weight loss. But to me your problem sounds like you are tying too much of your mental happiness to each pound. You should focus on the bigger picture and not micro manage your weight.
Stop weighing yourself daily, don't worry about trying to lose one pound of water weight, just focus on doing things right everyday. You've lost 30+ pounds, focus on the bigger picture. Think about the sacrifices you've made and as a result how much better you feel than you did before you started.
I'd also suggest treating yourself to little things (not necessarily food) but do little things that are fun to you, that make you happy. I find that is one of the best way's to live a happy life. Having simple pleasures in life.
edit: go sweat it out like the two posters above me said0 -
Yeah, normally I wouldn't care at all unless it stayed up for over a week, but I have a big holiday party tomorrow and just want to look/feel my absolute best.
I think I was just thrown because I was looking for a drop based on feeling great and was disappointed to be wrong. I hate being wrong.
Sweat it out it is.
Thanks guys!0 -
A pound?? Seriously, girl. You have more important things to focus on than ONE POUND. Keep feeling skinny & get on with the day! :drinker:0
