Advice on weight loss

I plan on enlisting in the Marines, I need to lose 12 lbs to be at contract weight and need to lose 42.5 lbs to be at shipping weight for basic training. I'm 22 years old and I weigh 233.5 lbs and I'm 5'10". I don't really want to build any more muscle right now I just want to burn fat. I am consuming 1400 calories a day high protein and low carb. But the problem is I've been at a plateau for about three weeks now and recently started to gain weight. I've even tried the whole cayenne thing and all that did was burn out my taste buds. I jump rope for 20 min daily along with p90x's plyometrics. I want to be down to 191 by may/june next year if anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated.

what I eat throughout the day is a protein bar at 9 am w/2 eggs and around noon I have yogurt with granola in it, 2 pm lunch I have two spoonfulls of quinoa fill the bottom of a Chinese food container with spinach, 3 oz of chicken 1/4 cup of green beans, and 1/2 cup of kidney beans, with 1/2 tbsp. of coconut oil so its not so dry, 5 pm I have a granola bar, and at 9 pm I have the same thing as lunch but minus the kidney beans.

Weight loss is done by a calorie deficit. With that said, you should get a food scale to ensure accuracy. Make sure you log daily and track everything. Also, you don't need to starve yourself to lose weight. Eating 1400 calories a day will make your basic training a lot harder because a lot of your weight loss will be muscle. I am 10 years older than you, workout an hour a day and have a desk job and lose at 2400-2600 calories (I do T25/body beast). With that said, I would suggest getting adequate calories (probably 2000-2200) and be accurate. There are NO magic tricks to lose weight.. only a deficit will work.
