I see a lot of post disregarding peoples opinions based purely on spelling. I'm calling them out & stating; it doesn't really matter so long as you get the gist, & frankly if you don't. Then maybe its a personal problem not mine...

I agree with the OP. I think for many the argumentum ad dictionarium($1.95) is taking the place of the argumentum ad hominem($1.64) as the logical fallacy of choice. It allows them to indirectly attack the other persons argument by implying that because the make a minor spelling (or typing, or grammer or whatever) error then by extension their opinion must be dumb also. But that sort of reasoning has lead to many an ignoration elenchi ( $3.42 (I saved up extra to buy that one!))0
