Just when I thought

So after about 7 weeks of no gym and eating reasonably okay, I got my motivation back last week and was doing great, eating brilliant and was doing 40 minutes cardio, 5 times last week with some strength training!
And then yesterday I was got with a horrible cold and have lost my motivation, I feel horrendous and tired! After last week I felt brilliant and feel like iv taken a step back yet again! And just when I for back into my stride!! I seem to be getting annoyed with myself for feeling rubbish and it's getting me stressed out that I can't go to the gym to work out!
Does anyone have any good remedies for a cold? Any advice would be appreciated, I want to get this weight off and the sooner I get rid of this cold the better!

Ginger tea with honey and lemon as well as good old fashioned chicken soup are my go to remedies.0

I like the person's suggestion above me- ginger tea is really good for colds.
and garlic.. it kills everything. I know my mom always consumes a ton of it when she's sick.
it'll make you smell, but it's worth it. lol0 -
Not sure where you live but if you can find it, I swear by Emergen-C when I get a cold. And of course all the old-fashined tried and true "Mom" advice - get lots of rest, eat well, drinking plenty of fluids, stay warm and dry0

Sometimes I have worked out when I have been sick and actually felt better after-- esp running nose, sore throat type symptoms.0

Thanks for the advice. Stocked up on ginger tea, tastes yummy! I'm in the soup hunt, I know chicken soup is a favourite for cold but unfortunately I don't eat meat, but any hot soup must be better than fast food.
I might try heading to the gym in a couple of days, I don't want to be giving it to people there if I can avoid it!!
Thanks again everyone! Much appreciated!
