IIFYM (if it fits your macros) is so logical and so full of common sense and practical science, that there has to be a downside, right?

nothing that works this well comes without some catch, does it?

so, i'm guessing there is a catch. i think that catch is... happiness.

people shouldn't be happy while getting in shape and losing weight. it's just not natural to be happy and eat foods you love while losing weight.

The challenge is in accurately figuring out your macros. I'm not capable as I keep missing the magic numbers.

The catch is rabid vegans/paleos/cleaneaters will try to denounce all you do as witchcraft.

Why? You can fill your macros and remaining cals with any food you want be it vegan, clean, paleo or fries.

We're all just too lazy to give up the junk food, right? I mean, if we were real dieters we'd be making cauliflower pop tarts ...or something.

    And don't forget cancer.

Ahh, but who's macros? I don't follow anyone's macros and still lose weight.. WOOT!

I just dont' eat meals of butter or white flour (or toward any extreme high carb or high fat diets).

So no S.O.S. or B&G? Bummer!

Doing so devalues the other dietary religions, thereby leading to denouncement.

But then I'd have to come up with a different reason I was in a bad mood. And that just sounds like too much introspection.

My GBF wanted me to join him in the Advocare 24 day challenge. He said it's the fastest way to lose my last 8 lbs. I politely declined - OK I rolled my damn eyes cuz he knows how I feel about it - he's my GBF and was just being difficult. :grumble:

but technically In for the ensuing witchcraft!

The catch is other people will be furious with you for losing weight without starving yourself, cutting out food, or resorting to fad diets and tricks.

Because they are special snowflakes and the laws of thermodynamics do not apply to them. You're just lucky. B*tch.

LOL. This is so me, my friends are jealous because I can still eat crisps and lose weight!

I am pretty sure you have to flog Shakeology,Visalus,Hebalife, isagenix, skinny fiber and possibly all other MLM's for IIFYM to work properly.

Yep, my problem too. I'm not allowed a whole lot of carbs, so I may stay under my calorie goal, but I go way over on my carbs. :grumble:

I flogged all of those *and* IIFYM when I was following paleo last year.
