I feel so much better, am not eating as much and feel so not bloated....I eat or ATE fast because being a mom you sometimes have no chance and also when I'm at work...its easier to eat quick and well....not anymore...chewing consciously has helped me sooo much....

so whoever it was thanks for making me think about it and try it or my own version...its amazing what little changes will do for ya!

I used to always eat really fast too, I think it had to do with my job. Always on the go and not much of a break. I have been trying to teach myself to eat slower now although sometimes the babies make it hard.
My newest trick is when I eat something like mashed potatoes or pudding I eat it with a baby spoon. I figure if I decrease the size of my "shovel" it takes a lot longer to shovel it in. I am not one to chew each bite 32times though but I do try to taste my food before it goes down.

chewing a lot goes hand in hand in slowing down to eat since your brain needs 20 mins for the stomach to let it know it is full. Chewin so many times not only help the food be easier to digest, but give the stomach time to tell the brain it's fulll.

Your right, being a working mother and eating fast does seem to go hand and hand, not saying only women do this but it seems there is not enough time in the day to fit everything in, especially if you work. I have notice my son, 13, is already "shoveling" food in as fast as he can, he says that at school they don't have enough time to take to slow down and eat once they have gotten their tray. It is sad that it starts that early in life!
