Workout Fragrance and Scents

I'll keep this simple instead of going into a whole lot of talk. If you were to walk in a gym and stepped next to someone working out, what fragrance/body oil/scent would you love to smell? Not anything strong, just a light scent of whatever, instead of the smell of sweat.
It feels good from time to time to have someone next to you say, 'You smell good', while you are on the elliptical or hitting the weights. Just curious!

Who do you want sniffing you?0

I wish people would stop wearing perfume/cologne at the gym.
And i don't want anyone coming up to me to say that I smell nice when I lift. That's creepy, if you can smell me you're too close. I am happy with not stinking when I am at the gym.
I can tell when a certain guy is at the gym because I can smell his cologne walking in. Too much, dude. Good thing he's pretty.0 -
I'm gonna take this one at face value.
If you really want to scent up for the gym, put on something that doesn't have much sillage (also known as "throw"). You want to wear something that wears close to the skin. You don't want to overpower your neighbor. Think - light musks, light (LIGHT) citruses.
Avoid grapefruit notes (shares sulphurous compounds with body odor), avoid cumin/patchouli/pepper (too strong).0 -
not sure if serious...
Absolutely! Kinda tired of reading the same threads/posts anyways so. No-one likes to smell like a sweaty wet shirt thats been sitting in your laundry for a week. Well....most people don't anyways.0 -

In that case...
I want to smell something FRESH and OUTDOORS-Y. Something that makes me feel I'm out and about instead of cooked up in a gym. Something that transcends the walls of my workout space. Something that transports to another, cleaner environment.0 -
OMG!! NOoooooo! Hahaha...that was hilarious. (Slaps hand on forehead)
Now THAT is creepy!0 -
Please, for the love of all that is holy.
None.0 -

Wash your shirt then? I never wear the same thing twice because I don't like to stink. But if you are serious about wearing perfume, don't wear it and dirty laundry. The double stank would be too much.0 -
a nice musk.0

If I can smell you on the machine next to me you are too close or your cologne is too strong. You should maybe smell like soap or deodorant. That's it.0

I like my men to smell like the1980s.0 -
I prefer NO smell at all. It bothers me when I am running, breathing heavy and perfume flies up my nose from someone next to me. I know we have no control over how a person smells but I personally can't take it, and must to move to another treadmill. Lucky fo me my gym has dozens in various locations thoughout the facility.0

I have actually been toying with the idea of posting a thread about this, it's a story goes like this...
Last week while on the treadmill a woman came in with hair wet and it was cold out, this alarmed me (see my wall for wives tales I beleive in). She proceeded to "hmph" at me for some reason still unbeknownst to me. I noticed after about ten minutes of her being on her treadmill that she was emitting an aroma of "freshly showered" is the only way I can describe it. The smell of shampoo and soap and etc was just wafting over to me 5 treadmills down.
I vowed to shower before every workout. I thought it was the nicest thing.0 -
a good soap smell like Irish Springs is great, or a good laundry soap smell, or Emporio Armani is an awesome light fragrance love that one0

I know this is not quite what you mean but I have a yoga instructor that puts essential peppermint oil on our feet when we are in corpse pose at the end of class. **pure bliss**0

bahahahahaha this can't be serious...0

I want to smell like morning dew at the end of a rainbow...0
-
Something fresh and clean like the fragrance of "Gain" laundry detergent. Nothing perfume-y...0
-
sandalwood0

you know what's been shown to increase blood flow to the genital region of women is just the natural smell of men...well some men0
-
just wear one of those febrezze things around your neck if you're that concerned about your BO.
i'd rather a neutral smell than anything else0 -
It seems a light, natural sent is the best way to go.
No strong anything is good, point taken.
Exercising is an experience for me. I want to feel good about it and smell good doing it, among other things. Some will understand it and some never will. It's cool!
I need all the motivation I can get because my willpower with this is zero. So, if I get a compliment, it feels good. That one compliment can get me through a rigorous routine or through the rest of that week. Anything helps! ;-) Most undestand this on the physical level, when you get a 'Congrats' or a 'Way to go'. Same deal!
Thanks again!0 -
... sweat. It's a gym.
This^^
I have seen a fitspo that says: If you still look cute after a workout you didn't work hard enough.
For me the same applies with smell. If i still smell good after an hour + then I am fooling myself.0 -
