Has anyone experienced a problem with their Polar watch where you are in the middle of a workout and it says "Check your transmitter"? This seems to happen to me a lot. I don't know if I need batteries. If I need it tighter. I don't know what I'm doing. I typically stop my workout. Then restart my watch. It drives me bonkers!!!!!!

I get that message if my band isn't tight enough and slips below an area where my heart rate is detectable. I'd tighten up your band and run a damp cloth over the contacts before putting it on to see if that works.0

My sister said something to me about her New Balance HRM that she has to work a little sweat before she put it on, and then wipe it on the back of the chest strap monitor to get it to complete the circuit. Might have something to do with that?

Make sure the back of the belt where the transmitter is has been wetted lightly. Mine does that when i've not damped it, or if it's in the wrong place.
or if I forget to put it on like i did yesterday:grumble: :blushing:0 -
Did you wet it prior to starting your workout? It needs to be damp.
Is it sliding up or down or over your sports bra?
Have you changed the batteries?
All 3 of these things have been the reason mine had given me that message in the past- Ive had it for over 3 years and it works great except under these conditions0 -

I always wet it, but I'm going to try to wet it and also my body.
I don't feel it is moving. It feels pretty snug. The bra I wore yesterday wasn't very supportive and I wonder if that had anything to do with it.
I've owned the watch since September, but there is no telling how long it was sitting on the shelf before I bought it. Maybe it does need a new battery.0 -
I've been having these issues off and on for a while.
I did change the battery in both my watch and transponder thing.. and it helped for a while.
I always wet the sensors
I periodically wash the strap per the instructions on the Polar website.
I now think I need a new strap, perhaps the sensors on the strap are damaged.0 -
I'm getting super frustrated. I worked out tonight and it did it 3x. Maybe I should get a different HRM. Ugh. I just bought this 3 months ago! Frustration!!!!!!0

That stinks
Make sure you try to get a new battery first. That may be it!
