Just curious if anyone know why I have this bad taste in my mouth since I have been dieting. I haven't been taking any supplements and I recently had my teeth cleaned. Even right after I brush and floss my mouth feels kind of slimy. Weird and disgusting! Just wondering if anyone had a clue? :ohwell:

Are you eating a lot of low fat foods with olestra (SP?) I tried some of the chips with it in them and my mouth felt really weird

No I can't tolerate a lot of "diet" foods, especially artifical sweetners and the olestra oil. I thought maybe it was a deficiency in something. Maybe I should make an appointment with my Dr. It always says to consult with your Dr beginning something like this. Seems ridiculous to ask my Dr if it is okay if I eat healthier and exercise daily

Are you drinking a lot more?.... maybe you were dehydrated before and now you're not... and you're just not used to feeling this way? Increased saliva production?
  • My bet is your body is in ketosis...I had a similar experience in my weightloss. There are tests you can get to tell if it is infact in that state. If so, great, your in weightloss mode :)

Do you use a teeth whitening mouth wash by chance?
    That does it to me!
