How many of you actually read the ingredients on the package and know what the label means?

No need, since every food on the shelves has to be FDA approved in order to be sold. Now nutrition facts, I know and understand what that means.

I'm lactose and gluten intolerant. I read every label from top to bottom but mostly I avoid packaged foods and prepare my own from scratch.

I always read the labels and look at nutritional information when I purchase things in a grocery store. The less ingredients the better. And of course the best foods don't have labels. :) I think I would do better eating out if there were labels and nutritional information available there too.

I work for the government. Agriculture, to be exact. So, in a way, yes.:laugh::laugh:

<<---- THIS girl. there are certain things I prefer to avoid and in order to do that, I need to know what's in it! I'm also curious about calories and such since joining this site. I would rather buy lower calorie snack foods so I can eat more quantity and really get my snack on.
