Delayed Shipping on Fitbit Force?

I live in Ontario and have on order from Best Buy the fitbit force. 3 times now they have changed the delivery date. Originally it was for Nov 25th, then Dec 3rd, and now the 14th. They haven't charged my credit card yet for purchase. Has anyone one else had this issue or seen them in stores yet? By that time maybe I can just purchase one in store.

For human interest. ..Best Buy did give me a $10 Ecard for the delay thus far.

Thanks

As far as I know, the Canadian release date was pushed back to the 10th, today. No idea why.

Thanks for your reply. I never knew they would be such a high demand item. Worth the wait though!

I have been looking at getting a Fitbit Force. I used the Bodymedia fit for years and loved motivation from the data but the arm band started to bother my arm. I was researching this and the customer reviews on Amazon are making me think I need to wait for the next generation. I wonder if the delay is due to demand or if they are trying to fix the problems I keep reading about on Amazon from user reviews. I really want one of these but I want to make sure the bugs are worked out first.

You could buy the Fitbit One. It's been out in one form or another for four years and isn't buggy.

I think the Force isn't buggy, it just doesn't count as reliably as the torso-worn models like the One because it's worn on the wrist so can get false steps from arm movements or miss steps from people holding onto something while walking like a stroller or shopping cart or treadmill bars. I doubt it matters much since it's all about getting a baseline activity amount and making goals from there. And I doubt it's something they can 'fix'.

i ordered the force at the end of Nov. shipped Dec 15th delivered Dec 17th. that was fast. I have a small wrist and its thick but i think it will be worth it. and you plug right into the device so you don't have to pop out the brains to plug into the computer that is way better then the flex.

I bought a fitbit one over the summer online. The seller kept saying he's gonna ship it. Then after two weeks I contacted him and he told me he mailed my fitbit to the wrong person and that it will be to me soon. Then a month had past, still no fibit, so I sent the seller an angry email and called him a con-artist for taking my money and never sending me the item I purchased. The same day I got on my PayPal and told them I never received the item and to take the money back. Which they took the money from the seller the very next day. Yea....the seller apologized like a dozen times, sent me a couple free items (32gb flashdrive, and camcorder battery) and got my fitbit too me asap, I then cancelled my hold on my payment. So sometimes you just have to be a b*tch.

I ordered mine from Sport Check online on Dec 13 and had it shipped express. It arrived on Dec14th morning. I was very surprised how fast it arrived. This was the only place I found it. It's sold out everywhere else.
