A club that I belong to at my college is having a potluck Thursday and I was wondering what foods should I avoid eating, besides the obvious ones, cookies, candies, chips, and soda. Also what foods should I go for? I'm bringing a veggie platter with a greek yogurt ranch dip (a recipe I got from here).

Eat what you like, in moderation. Don't go back for seconds. Exercise a little extra. Don't stress, this is a long term thing you are doing, and your diet has to be sustainable.

If this is a "once-in-awhile" type deal, I'd just go ahead and enjoy myself. But if you're really worried, stick to things like meats and veggies.

i'm such a nervous nelly at potlucks i am overconcerned about food safety. i try not to eat anything with mayo or pork in it and stick to those things that are meant to be served at room temp like crudites, cookies, breads and cheese and crackers. IDK where I got this phobia but it's a drag.
