Runners Knee

Hi all,
Not long ago I was a runner, running 2-3 miles a day at least 4 times a week. I was very active, worked with a personal trainer, hiked, ran, ect. Well, I developed runners knee. Does anyone have any treatment/rehab exercises they know of? It is very painful and it prevents me from doing a lot of my normal activities.
Thanks!

I've done exactly the same thing in both knees. I went to physio and it was the best decision I ever made. The main thing I was told was do leg weights at the gym to strengthen my quads. Start doing double knee bends until they are stupidly easy and then do single knee bends.0
