Warm up, Weights then Cardio

Hello everyone,
I am trying to get more serious about weight lifting. I am trying to loss weight and gain muscle.
If anyone has some advice for a new wight lifter that would be great.
I mainly do Cardio when I am at the gym, but I realize I need to gain muscle and tone now.
What is the best routine for incorporating weight training to weight loss.

Also what is the best warm up(5-10min) that you do before weight training.

Thanks in advance!
Please feel free to add me if you would like :)

I do the Stronglifts 5x5 and the only warm ups I do are my warmup sets before my worksets.

    check out
New Rules of Lifting (for women)- There are two books there- either one is fine.
    Strong Lifts
    Starting Strength
    Strong Curves

All great programs- I recommend looking into these- as well as doing research on your own - youtube can be a gold mine (gotta watch a lot to get a feel for it- don't just pull one and take it as the bible- you may pull a chitty one)

I don't do much cardio- but I always do mine after- unless i'm doing two a days- then I do cardio at lunch- and weights at night. then more cardio.

    Edit- my warm up
    I do sand bag swings
    box jumps
    jump rope
