Looking for some supportive people to add me :)

My name is Ashley and I have been on MFP for a really long time always saying I am going to do this I am going to lose the weight, and well it never really happend. I have the best friend who is also trying to lose weight and we always start the diet monday and then fail by midweek. LOL as I sure a lot of you can relate too! But I am very serious about losing this weight. This all hit me last week. I am recently married to the love of my life who loves me for who I am and supports me more then words can even describe. He just wants me to be happy. and I was. Very happy with all aspects of life. We found out we were pregnant about a month and a half ago. We miscarried. My doctor told me that my weight and being in the shape I am is a good factor in why this happend to us. SO THIS IS IT! a huge shock for me and my husband. Of course hes tall and handsome and in good athletic shape, Little beer belly, but who doesnt these days. We decided to have a more healthier lifestyle, I dont have very many friends where I am at because we just recently move ( husband is army ) and my very best friend lives in HI with her army husband so it is hard to do this diet together. There for I am just looking for some supportive people to add me on here as friends to help motivate me and I will help do the same!! My goal is to lose about 100 pounds before we start trying again to start our family. Which works out perfect due to the fact my husband is getting deployed. I can do this all while he is gone and maybe surprise him when he comes home . Any ways. Look forward to maybe meeting some new friends and starting this long journey of mine with you :)

Hi Ashley. I just wanted to say that I am sorry for your loss. I know how heartbreaking a miscarriage can be. I had one before conceiving my oldest son, and another before getting pregnant with my third.

Please don't blame yourself for your miscarriage. They can occur for any number of reasons, usually related to the viability of the fetus, and most likely your weight had nothing to do with it. That said, it is great that you want to get in shape and improve your health before getting pregnant, as it can make for an easier and less complicated pregnancy and delivery.

    Feel free to friend me.

    Ashley,

I can relate to your situation. First of all, the yo-yo decisions of dieting... I'M TIRED OF IT TOO!! Secondly, I miscarried my 3rd pregnancy. Doctors said they couldn't give me an explanation, and they just called it a spontaneous abortion. The body will end a pregnancy itself if something isn't developing right and they feel that this was the case with me. It took a while for me to get back on my feet, but after that I was pregnant twice in a row and both are healthy babies!!

As far as losing weight, I'm on here looking for partners in this journey too. I kept hoping that my husband would join me, but every time he says he is, I come home and he has been to Costco purchasing cookies and big bags of M&M's... It is discouraging and while I am a strong willed and determined woman, I would love to have someone pushing themselves just as hard as I am. I have about 50lbs to lose. I was close last year when I lost 30, but once Christmas 2012 came I put it all back on. I'm almost the same weight I was after I gave birth to my last son (which was 3 years ago come January!) No shame in disclosing: I'm 195.... went to the doc today actually. But I won't let numbers discourage me. It took me all that time to put it on, and it will take time to take off. Let's not think about the future so much, let's think about the present... think about today. Everyday is filled with the opportunities to do the right thing and to take a few steps toward who you want to be. If we take no steps...we'll never get there.

So what is your plan? Walking, jogging, zumba? I don't have a gym membership, so I've just been running around my block 8 times a night (the neighbors probably think I'm a lunatic!) But that equals out to about 2.75 miles (which translates to about 671 calories!). I'm currently looking for a zumba fitness game for the ps3 ... you have to keep changing up your methods of exercise to trick your body into losing weight.

So feel free to chat back! Good luck!

Just read my profile, I am so sorry for your loss *hugs* I know how hard it is, and miscarries happen for so many reasons, and people usually don't understand. I know I don't think I'll ever understand why they happen and I've been through all the emotions having a miscarry can cause. So my ultimate goal is to be a mother, because my husband and I are not getting any younger. I HAVE to get in shape and healthy so I can carry a baby to full term. I only have 33 lbs to go, to make up a total of 100 lbs lost. So please feel free to add. We can do this together!
