I'm pretty sure it speeds it up, but i'm not 100% sure0

any kind of stimulant will temporarialy speed up your metabolism. but when you spike it like you do with coffee, throuout the day it will slow down a lot more then if you wouldnt have spiked it. so caffine will speed up your metabolism, and then slow it way down. when it gets used to being speed up in an unatural way it will count on that.0

so true. i am an caffeine addict, get headaches when i don't have coffee in the morning. i would not start drinking it as a method to speed up your metabolism, kaiya. you will crash and eventually become dependent on it. i'm down to 2 cups a day per my doctor, and even thats rough some mornings.:drinker:0 -
I have late night classes, two nights a week. A small coffee seems to do the trick. If I limit myself to that, would I be ruining my metabolism?0

as a coffee addict, and a recent night class graduate, honestly you would do better for your meta and your body if you had an energizing snack instead, apple and peanut butter ,yogurt and strawberriesgranola bar and small juice. youll function better and retain more of what you just learned:flowerforyou:0

Its a stimulant, I do work with substances and their effects....its ok to have mild stimulants, just dont' get too involved, as when you quit it'll slow your metabolism back down. Stimulants are good randomly (specifically energy drinks/coffee) to push a healthy body to a new level in a workout, and try to obtain that level again without the stimulant. Have to watch your heart and not working too hard.0
