I am participating in a 5k on Saturday- the temps are supposed to be low-probably around 32 at race time.
How should I dress for this?

That's really not too bad. I would wear lined leggings (I have some from Target, that I adore), compression top, maybe a vest and hat or ear warmers.0

Its around that temperature here at the moment. Personally I don't wear tights until it freezes as your legs stay pretty warm anyway. This morning I wore shorts and a long sleeve top (a thin wicking one) and a hat and that was it really. If though your expecting to walk more you may want to dress a bit heavier0

For running @ freezing, I wear a hat and gloves for exercise (wicking, etc). In HS, I always used stretch knit gloves and a knit stocking hat and they still worked OK, but new tech fabrics are lighter and/or warmer.
Then I've got some mid-weight Asics tights. heavy weight ones are too hot for me.
Then a long sleeve tech T shirt under a simple Brooks running jacket.
That's good for me for running. HOWEVER, if your going to be walking more, you need some heavier stuff...0 -
For running at that temp (assuming it's dry and not windy), I'm comfortable in maybe a light wicking tank top with a long sleeve top over it, preferably something with a half zip so I can unzip and vent as I warm up. Light gloves (the cheap knit ones with the tech finger so you can still use your touch screen phone or iPod, they are like 3 bucks) are great for your hands, and a light fleece headband to keep my ears warm. Wool socks are awesome. For the legs, either tights or capri length pants work for me. I will opt for tights for my 5k this weekend as there is usually a bit of standing around time before the start and more chance of being cold - running at home I would go in the capri length and be fine.
Good luck and have fun!0 -
We are recovering from the recent "ice" that came over us. And there is a possible chance for light rain :-/0

This, for me.....
Tights (maybe), shorts, sleeveless top.0 -
In lower temperatures, I just wear thermal running leggings and tops, with gloves.0

For me, the gloves are the most important! Be careful not to wear too much up top, but everyone's cold tolerance is different. If my hands get too cold, then I feel like I'm freezing all over. Good luck on your race!0

You should only wear what you have worn in those temperatures in the past. Race day is not a day to experiment with equipment or attire. If you have not ran in 32 degree weather before, I guess just be careful to not overdress and make sure you warm up beforehand.0
