I'm 5'10" and 220 lbs. and I was going to shoot for 165 which is what I thought I was supposed to weigh but after doing some looking around and doing some BMI calculators its saying I should shoot for like 130-140. At first I guess I was a little worried about trying to go that low but maybe its because I've always been overweight. Most people are genuinely surprised when I tell them that I weight as much as I do and most have put me at 180-190 before I tell them the real number. Should I go ahead and put my bar lower or should I just shoot for 165 and then figure it out? Do you think someone can look too skinny? I have always heard that body frame is a myth and that we can all look slim, but I dunno. Guess I need some perspective or personal insight on this.

I would suggest getting to your original goal weight and then deciding from there.

Yes that is too aggressive. 130-140 would practically make you under weight close to it. Don't stress weight too much, worry about body composition. Ideally, you want to concentrate on fat loss and minimize muscle loss. So eat more protein (like we suggested in your other thread) and lift some weights. Besides, if you can get the body you want at 150-160 lbs, why would you want to go lower?

Shoot for 165 then figure it out.
