Need new workout

Seriously, what does it take to get rid of last bit of fat! I have been trying so hard. I did hip hop abs for 3 months which yeilded some results. Not what i was wanting, (i still recommend hiphopabs) im starting to do leg lifts and push ups and straight leg lift crunch thingys (dont know what they are called) for 45-50 mins a day. is it a lost cause trying to get just some of the last bit of fat off of me? Am i doing all this in vain? Should i be looking for some hardcore workout like insanity or t25?
I have a kidney disease so im not gonna be able to do something crazy like insanity cause it will cause me a lot of pain. I dont think ill ever have the body i really want. Should i stick to what im doing?

First off, where are you currently on your journey and what are your ultimate goals? Where did you start?
Second, what is your calorie goal and how do you set it?
And, how much protein do you eat daily?
  • Well i started off at about 135 when i really started trying to get fit. It was after my last baby. Im not sure how much protien i eat :/ do you suggest i start doing a meal replacement protien shake? My goal is to be fit, i want to look good in a bikini (even though i dont wear them) i have a bit of chub left on my stomach. Its flat but chubby im like 29 inches around my waist and my goal is more like 26-27. Right now im stuck at 120 and id be perfectly fine with that but my measurements arent changing at all. iv platued. When i sit i have a little hang over of chub and im wanting to get rid of it. I try to stay around 12-1400 calories

The workout is not going to make you lose fat, no matter what it is. The calorie deficit will. If you're looking to reduce fat and look good with fewer clothes on, start lifting weights or you're going to lose just as much muscle as fat from your efforts.

No, I don't do protein replacement shakes, I eat my protein. I am usually in the 100-150g range for protein intake.

You may want to add weight training to your routine and build some muscle. You will definitely lose inches that way.

How do you set your calorie goal?

If you're not following a full-body strength training program, that's what i would suggest.. assuming your doctor approves.

Ab exercises don't target ab fat by the way.

    weigh and measure your food.

eat at a small calorie deficit.

get on a full body resistance program instead of a bunch of leg lifts or various cardio dvds.

    profit.

Because you have kidney disease, it's more important for you than for most people to get an okay from your doctor before drastically changing you diet or exercise routine.

From your goals, though, it sounds like instead of aiming for a hardcore cardio-centric program, you might try something with emphasis on resistance training, either bodyweight resistance or weights. Ones I've seen frequently reccomended include Stronglifts, Starting Strength, Strong Curves, New Rules of Lifting for Women, You Are Your Own Gym and Body by You. I only have experience with three of them (Strong Curves, Starting Strength and NROLFW), and I'd recommend any of them. You may, however, need to work with a physical therapist on a program or modifications if your kidney disease has you on some types of exercise restriction.
