This happens to me too! I have found that if I give myself one treat every week or twice a week (if i'm having a bad week) then i'm more likely to keep on track longer. My treats are still within my cal goal for the day, just a little sweeter.

Include the foods you like and control the calories.

There is no silver bullet - it comes down to discipline.
  • It's hard to make suggestions without knowing more about you. How many calories do you eat a day? If you're eating too few (e.g., if you're a 1200er), then you might consider upping your calorie limit so you are less likely to want to binge and eat all the things. Calculate your TDEE and see what number that gives you.

To give you an example: I aim for eating between 1700 - 1900 calories a day and do interval cardio four times a week + lifting heavy twice a week. I'm in my thirties, 5'5" and weigh about 130 pounds. I eat pretty much everything, in moderation. I aim for more protein and fat because those fill me up better and longer than carbs.

You really just have to find what works best for YOU and your body (realistic goals, number of calories, kinds of calories, activity level, actiivity type, etc.) and then make yourself to stick to it. That self-control thing can be a tough one; I feel your pain there. So try to find an eating and fitness plan that has a lot of elements you genuinely enjoy. That will make it much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • What do you usually crave? Can you incorporate it in your diet?

You dont have to eat 100% "healthy" to get good results.

I struggle with binge eating. One thing that works for me is sipping a can of diet coke while browsing through mfp success stories till the urge passe.oh and another thing. i "save" funny and entertaining tv shows for when im feeling really depressed so that i will have something great to distract me and make me feel better. There are a few shows that i have for this purpose and i only watch them when i feel really really bad and they are like my medicine lol one of these shows is key and peele and the other is the mindy project.
