I feel so old! Most of the time I keep thinking it's pointless carrying on, because of some setbacks. I feel so down low all the time and it's affecting my productivity. I don't feel like telling anyone because I'm afraid they'll think I'm a coward who can't deal with simple stuff. What do I do?

i honestly dont understand why people say they feel 'old' every birthdya... it happens, everyone gets older... its like moaning about having to breathe... aging happens to everyone... get over it....

I'm also turning 23 but I'm not sure what the point of this post is? :)

If you are feeling down all the time then ask someone for help or go talk to someone! If that's not an option then make changes to the things you aren't happy with! Eat better, move more, do whatever makes you happy!

    Good luck! :)

Well, you asked for advice and now you're getting it. So embrace it. The only thing which makes you coward is hiding your original post after reading the replies...

I just turned 23 this week and feel relatively the same. I think it's common at this age to still feel "out of place" or "lost" and struggle with not being a teenager, but not yet being taken seriously as an "adult" due to how young we still really are. That and all that other life stuff that we're still not used to yet - being ultimately responsible for everything yourself.

I don't really have much advice for you, other than you are ultimately not alone. :flowerforyou: Try the best you can to think of the positive side in every situation, take time to find things to do that you have passion for, and surround yourself with other positive people. Don't be afraid to talk to anyone when you are feeling down - bottling it in never goes any good.

    Good luck OP!
  • Disheartening how harsh and mean some of these replies are... I say talk to your doctor about it! It isn't cowardice :) Sometimes things get tough and it makes everything a lot harder. Most people understand that! Your doctor will be able to help :) Good luck!
